A bus has driven into a tree on Stillwells Corner Road and Saratoga Drive in Freehold. Freehold Police say the driver suffered a medical episode while behind the wheel of the student filled bus. The bus involved was #51 of Freehold Regional School District fleet.
Police say all students were able to walk off the bus on their own however many suffered bloody noses and cut lips although 10 students and the driver were hospitalized.
Where the accident happened is an area where middle school students are normally walking to school. The rain prevented many from walking today; they were driven to school instead.
