NJ Man Accused of Posing as NYC Police Officer
Police say a New Jersey man posed as a police officer in New York City and threatened prostitutes with arrest if they did not perform sexual acts for free.
Warren Taylor of Bushkill, N.J., was awaiting arraignment in a Brooklyn court Wednesday. The 32-year-old was arrested Monday on charges including impersonating a police officer.
It wasn't immediately clear whether he has a lawyer.
New York police say Taylor is accused in four separate incidents in Queens and Manhattan during January and this month.
Police say Taylor hit a woman in the face and bruised her in one incident.
