Family Identified - The father of the little girl who killed a firearms instructor with an Uzi last month has been identified this morning. The first report came in the New York Daily News. A police report identifies 43-year old Alexander MacLachlan as the girl's dad. He is an Wharton grad who manages investment funds for an overseas company. The family lives in Weehawken. Neighbors say the family hasn't been seen since the accident. They were on vacation when they took a trip to a shooting range outside Las Vegas. MacLachlan's 9-year-old girl was given a mini-Uzi to shoot, lost control of it and sprayed bullets everywhere.
Knockout Punch - There is shocking new video this morning of former Rutgers star and Baltimore running back Ray Rice punching his wife in the face. Rice received a two game suspension from the NFL after video surfaced of him dragging his unconscious wife from an elevator at Revel in Atlantic City. Domestic violence victims groups said the league went easy on Rice. This won’t help that thinking. The video now shows the knockout blow from inside the elevator.

Lakewood Suicide - A man shot himself at a gun range in Lakewood this weekend. Police believe the 30-year old shot himself in the chest at the shore shot pistol range on Saturday. This is second apparent suicide at shore shot since April of last year.

Atlantic City's Future - The fate of Atlantic City is the focus of a historic summit today in the beleaguered resort town. Governor Christie will be joined by legislative leaders, local officials, casino industry big wigs and organized labor.

Feel the Heat - The brutal heat overcomes some 50 Rutgers football fans during Saturday's home opener in Middlesex County..

Announcing a Strategy - President Obama will outline his strategy this week to defeat extremists from the militant group Islamic state that have seized territory in parts of Iraq and Syria and have carried out gruesome killings, including the beheadings of two American journalists. But first, Obama meets Tuesday with congressional leaders from both parties. Lawmakers have said they'd like to hear specifics from the president. Some Republicans and Democrats say Obama has been too cautious in responding to the Islamic state.

Soccer Play Laid to Rest - Funeral services are this morning for 14-year old Aisling Cooke, killed in a car accident in south jersey last week. She was a freshman at Mainland Regional High School. Chore Gone Wrong - Firefighters not only had to battle flames in Robbinsville Sunday but a hive of angry bees. A guy set his house on fire trying to kill the bees. He dumped hot coals on the hive but that ignited a mulch pile and then spread to the house. At least ten firefighters got stung while putting out the fire...

Mall Drive-Through - Another elderly driver goes out of control...and this time slammed into a North Jersey shopping mall. Witnesses say he first crashed through the entrance of the Hudson Mall, then kept driving, eventually hitting the wall of a vacant store. People were running for their lives. Police say no charges are expected, saying it appears to be an accident.

Hit-And-Run Help - Police need your help to find a hit and run driver who sped off after hitting and killing a man last night in Deptford Township. It happened on Mantua Pike just before 8pm. They are looking for an older model dodge pick-up with an extended cab either green or blue in color.
Bridgegate Anniversary - New Jersey and national Democratic party leaders are marking the one year anniversary of the lane closures near the George Washington Bridge with an event to criticize gov. Chris Christie. The lane closings erupted into what has become known as Bridgegate. Christie, meanwhile, has largely moved past the scandal and is again traveling the country as chairman of the Republican Governor's Association. The U.S. Attorney has yet to complete his investigation.
