Website created to help South Jersey crash victim’s family
A website has been created to assist the family of Aisling Cooke, the Mainland Regional High School freshman who died from injuries sustained in a Labor Day weekend accident.
The website gofundme.com/e0qkj0 has already raised $16.000 worth of contributions to assist the freshman's family. Support is being solicited for the Cooke family "in any way possible; emotionally, physically or financially."
The site was set up by Mike Reddington, whose sister Anne married into the Cooke family.
The soccer player will be laid to rest today in a funeral at Our Lady of Sorrows in Linwood; hundreds turned out for Cooke's viewing yesterday, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
Cooke and 4 other Mainland Regional High School students were going to compete in a charity tournament when the crash occurred the Saturday morning of Labor Day Weekend on Route 40 in Hamilton Township. The other girls were treated and released from a hospital.
