Thanksgiving is arguably my favorite holiday. Family, friends and food. It's a perfect time to be thankful for whatever you have, even if you're not exactly where you want to be in your life and career. Life is about a journey and it's important to be thankful for the incredible opportunities that open up every day in America.

One thing I'm thankful for this season is the bravery, courage and compassion of our law enforcement officers. Not only do they keep our communities safe every day so that the rest of us can go about our business and live in a safe environment free from violence, but they also do great services to those less fortunate.

This year I want to give a special thanks to NJ PBA president Pat Colligan, PBA VP Mark Kovar, Sgt. First Class John Ioia and State Troopers NCO Association President Pete Stilianessis for their hard work and dedication to everyone in our New Jersey community. They went above and beyond this year giving out food to the less fortunate. Thank you gentlemen for your continued thoughtful dedication to all of us.
