MMA Fighter Quits, Jumps Out Of Cage

Brazilian cage fighter Claudinei Angelo left the octagon October 5th by jumping right out of it. He was in mid match against Evilasio Silva when he spit his gum shield out several times. The ref had had enough, and under MMA rules the ref does not have to stop the fight under such an event. Instead he can choose to make the fighter wait until the first opportunity to replace it.

It appears Angelo was spitting it out on purpose, having earned a fight stoppage when in trouble twice earlier in the fight. Third time was not the charm. Watch this video as the ref refuses to call a stop this time, and Angelo tries calling his own timeout then paces around jumps right out of the cage. Was this guy trained by Kip from Napoleon Dynamite?
