Yes, there really is a Toy Hall Of Fame. Is there a Hall Of Fame for everything? And if so, how about a Hall Of Fame Hall Of Fame, where only the most outstanding Hall Of Fames are inducted? But I digress.

The National Toy Hall Of Fame resides inside The Strong, a museum dedicated to 'play' in Rochester, NY. It's been there since 1998. Their mission statement says they exist to recognize toys that inspire creative play and have enjoyed popularity over a sustained period of time. Ah, like the empty cardboard box? See, you thought that was only a joke right there. But it was actually inducted in 2005.

Yesterday the National Toy Hall Of Fame narrowed the nominees for its class of 2013 to these finalists. Which one would you pick?
