Magicians Need to Have a Government – Mandated Rabbit Disaster Plan

No, you did not read that headline wrong about magicians. The USDA has actually mandated that every magician have a bonafide escape route for rabbits in their act.

As Jim says, if you wonder why we're in this handbasket and if you wonder where the heck are we going, well, look no further than this mandate for musicians. According to this article from the Washington Post, for magicians to keep their license and the ability to use a rabbit in their act, the magician would have to enact an escape plan for their long-eared contributor, in case of an emergency.
