Most Jersey guys will say this play describes their life, even though it takes place in the Bronx.  "A Bronx Tale” will be playing on June 26th and 27th at the Count Basie Theatre, starring Chazz Palminteri. Chazz will be calling in to my show tonight at 8:05.

A Bronx Tale is a biographical story of a young boy who witnesses a gangster kill a man over what he thinks is a parking space. The killer actually sees the boy witness it. A relationship between the killer and the boy develop, and conflict emerges between Sonny the gangster, and his father Lorenzo who’s a bus driver and self described “stand up guy.”

The story takes place in the 1960’s, and is told by Palmiinteri while standing under the street sign of the neighborhood where he grew up. In 1993 “A Bronx Tale” was turned into a movie starring Palminteri and Robert DeNiro.
