If the rumors are true, then there's a chance we may be treated to one of the most unnecessary movie remakes of all time. According to Complex.com,

Columbia Pictures President Doug Belgrad said that the studio is setting its sights on a reboot to 1995's board game comedy, Jumanji.

In a short, yet ominous, quote, Belgrad said, "We're going to try and reimagine Jumanji and update it for the present."

Really? The original was average, but great for kids. I remember when I was in elementary school in Staten Island and they would show Jumanji in the auditorium during recess whenever we had a rainy day. After seeing it well over 20 times, I never got tired of it. Granted, I was 9-years old, but still.
