For the past few years I've been fortunate to be invited along with my colleague and podcast co-host Jessica Nutt to host charity events throughout New Jersey. We've done everything from comedy nights for CFC Loud&Clear and City of Angels to benefits for cancer research.

This Saturday we'll be at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater, NJ emceeing the 19th Annual 5k run and 2 mile walk benefiting Visions and Pathways. This is a strong New Jersey organization with offices in Morristown and Bridgewater dedicated to helping abused, neglected, homes and runaway youth. We're honored to be a part of the event as the organization has helped more than 8,000 young people find shelter, food, clothing and support since the group started in 1970.

Registration starts at 7:45am and the walk begins at 9:00am followed by the race at 10a.  Jessica will be running the 5k, yes, we'll be watching her time (could be the subject of a future episode of #SpeakingMillennial) and I'll be at the mic cheering on the runners. There will be prizes, raffles, music and of course great food!
