How low can he go? Caller pushes the envelope on an empty gas tank

We were discussing how far you can drive when your tank is on empty and a listener named Mitra decided to take us up on answering our question.

Mitra called the show while we were discussing how much you can push the "E" light on your car. Mitra was apparently pushing it farther than any of us on the morning show had tried as he was totally on zero.

Mitra said he had no plans of stopping for gas and that he was heading straight to work. Not only was he in traffic and on empty, but he was on a major traffic road no less!
