Happy salt water taffy day!

k flooding a candy shop owned by David Bradley, (no not the chocolate guy). When a little girl came in to buy some taffy he looked around at the soggy candy and said that all he had was "salt water taffy." She bought it anyway and her mom overheard the conversation and suggested he keep calling it that.

The other version from fast food and junk food what we love to eat. Historian Andrew Smith says it was a marketing ploy started in Atlantic City which caught on to candy makers from Florida to Massachusetts. Either way, it tastes great so enjoy!
