23 year old Flavio Ortiz from Lakewood may have pretended to be unconscious to avoid arrest after crashing into a utility pole Friday morning, according to police. At first responsive after the crash, at some point he appeared to become unresponsive and lose consciousness.

He was flown to Capital Regional Health Center in Trenton. Police were later told that the guy became alert after he was away from the crash scene and it appeared he was faking the whole thing. It didn't work. He was arrested anyway, charged with hindering apprehension, and they say he was driving without a license. Bill Doyle is notorious for never getting out of a traffic ticket. Maybe he should try the faking unconsciousness ploy.
