Do you put a seat belt on your dog?

I'm sorry this is blurry but it was the best I could do. This guy drove in front of me most of the way home last night with his dog hanging out the window. I should say windows. He switched sides several times during the trip. The dog was loving life with the wind on his muzzle as he took in the scenery.

I feel this is how things ought to be. If you want to risk turning Fido into a flying projectile so be it. It's your dog. Furthermore, legislative proposals to require New Jersey pet owners to have doggie seat belts on their animals have been called "stupid" by Governor Christie and there's even this study claiming these harnesses are not actually safe for dogs.
