Dennis’ favorite fresh NJ tomatoes (PLUS: Roadside stands to find yours!)

I don't eat corn on the cob until this time of year in New Jersey. I just don't. It ain't worth it. Same with tomatoes. I will have them on sandwiches and make bruschetta or pico de gallo salsa with them but I won't eat just tomatoes until the Jersey tomatoes are ready.

Well, they're here! The one pictured is from my favorite farm stand run by a real hard-working honest-to-goodness Jersey-girl farmer/businesswoman/sweetheart named Mary from the Red Top Market on Route 70 in Southampton. She always manages to get the first of everything grown here in Jersey and this weekend she did not disappoint.

So if you love Jersey corn and tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, etc. THEY'RE HERE!!!! Go out to a local farm stand and get some, cause we only have a few months of the good stuff, then it's gone til next summer.
