ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton says the nation's political class could use "camps for adults" and too many leaders get backed into partisan corners and won't work together.

Clinton offered a bipartisan message during a paid speech to camp counselors on Thursday in the weeks before her expected presidential campaign launch.

She joked political leaders could stay in a "red cabin" and a "blue cabin" and then come together and "actually listen to each other."

The former secretary of state answered a series of friendly questions on stage about her resilience, work as a child advocate and famous world leaders during a session moderated by a New York Democratic party official.

She was not asked about recent criticism of her use of a personal email account at the State Department.
