Campaign Flier Sneaked Inside Meals On Wheels

A Jersey City health worker was caught this week sneaking campaign literature promoting a freeholder candidate into an elderly woman's meal through the meals-on-wheels program. The 86 year old woman was shocked to find the flier pushing Gerard Balmir Jr.'s candidacy.

No one knows just how many of these fliers may have gone out in other meals. Balmir swears he has nothing to do with this and doesn't know the people involved. It could well have been just an overzealous nut seeing nothing wrong with steering the elderly towards his personal choice for freeholder. No matter how it happened though, it's pretty low.

Hey, why not also help an old lady cross the street then sneak a campaign button onto her sweater when she's not looking? Or offer to shovel her driveway then leave B-A-L-M-I-R spelled out in snow behind?
