Camden Man Charged With Murder in Ex’s Slaying

Murder charges have been filed a southern New Jersey man who allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend 51 times during a confrontation last month.

Camden County prosecutors say 27-year-old Madaline Morales of Camden was attacked in a friend's home on April 13. She had been staying there after she moved out of a Camden residence she shared with 36-year-old Jose Quinones, and was attacked eight days after she sought a temporary restraining order against him.

Quinones suffered numerous stab wounds in the confrontation with Morales and remains hospitalized. But authorities are still trying to determine whether he stabbed himself or was injured in the struggle.
