I love a good hamburger but I’m not that crazy about the fast-food version of the all-American staple. When I heard that Burger King was introducing a new burger that was bigger than McDonald’s Big Mac, I was a little excited, in that I always have felt that the Big Mac was lacking in meat.

Now, I’m reading that the new burger, the Big King, weighs in at 4 ounces. A quarter pound. That’s it. It is bigger than the Big Mac, which, according to USA Today, contains 3.2 ounces of meat. Split between two patties? That’s puny. Now if one of them had two four ounce patties, they’d be on to something. On my recent burger odyssey, I don’t think I had a burger that was just four ounces, and several were eight ounces. I’m not a glutton and I’m not a big fat slob, but I am a full grown adult who can polish off an eight ounce burger with no problems. As a matter of fact, throw some onion rings and a shake, too.
