For at least the third time this summer, a Portuguese man O’ war has washed up on the Jersey Shore. In June, several washed up in Surf City, and in July one washed up in Harvey Cedars.

The most recent one was found on the shore in Beach Haven. A fellow Townsquare Media employee, Boris, happened to be vacationing at the shore and shot this video. He describes the creature as a "creepy pile of goo" that people often mistake for a jellyfish, when in fact, it's not. You can read Boris’s story here.

As he mentions in his article, a shark was actually rescued about a week earlier in almost the same spot.
