Christie opposes Iran deal, open to US troops in ISIS fight

LONDONDERRY, N.H. (AP) -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Wednesday the emerging nuclear pact with Iran is a pathway to that nation's achievement of nuclear weapons and to an even more dangerous Middle East. He also said he'd be open to putting U.S. soldiers "into the fight" against the Islamic State group if necessary.

Ferguson election triples number of blacks on City Council

(AP) -- Two black candidates were among three people elected to the Ferguson City Council Tuesday, tripling African-American representation in the St. Louis suburb where poor race relations have been a focal point since the August shooting death of an 18-year-old black by a white police officer.
