Big Joe Henry LIVE at Sandy Angels in Seaside Park

Don’t miss Big Joe Henry as he broadcasts live on Saturday, October 28th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM from Seaside Park for the attempt to break the Guinness Book World Record for “Most Sand Angels Made Simultaneously.” Registration is $5.00 a person and 100% of funds raised will support disaster relief & recovery for those impacted by Superstorm Sandy. Both OceanFirst Foundation and New Jersey Natural Gas will donate $10 each for the first 1,500 registrants. All donations and donations matched will equally benefit
Ocean County Long Term Recovery Group and The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services. Join the fun and help break the current record of 1,387 held by Ludington, a western Michigan city.

Zombie Walk

The Zombie walk is sponsored by Underground, one of the 60+ stores at Historic Smithville. Come spend a night in the Village and take part in the Zombie Walk! Show up all ready in full costume and make up or we will have makeup artists on site. Be prepared to walk the Village with hundreds of other zombie friends! The rain date for this event is October 29. Historic Smithville offers 60 shoppes, 7 eateries, carousel ride, train ride, paddleboats and arcade, on site lodging at the Colonial Inn and over 26 free weekend events!

Antique Bar & Bakery - Disco Is Dead!

Chef Paul Gerard and filmmaker Joe Castelo invite party goers to put on their funkiest zombie costumes and groove to the sounds of the Silent Disco, held exclusively at Antique Bar & Bakery. Horror films from the ‘70’s will be projected on the walls as the undead jam along to disco tracks spun by hell’s most wicked house DJ. Don’t miss the Antique dance troupe, a trio of Disco Zombie Go-Go dancers, “THE WEEPING WILLOW-ETTES”. Like Zombies at a brain buffet, guests will devour fiendishly inspired food and drink specials, including dry ice shots and the infamous ZOMBIE cocktail, a mixed drink that packs a hellish punch. This infectious Halloween bash will be the howl of the town, from the “sixth borough” reaching across the Hudson River. 10 p.m.

After the Harvest Wine & Food Event

Just as the harvest season winds down, the inaugural After the Harvest Wine & Food event presented by Provident Bank has been launched. The Garden State Wine Growers Association member wineries, the Culinary Arts Institute and Hudson County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs/Tourism Development has teamed up for this new fall event. Enjoy wine sampling from at least six New Jersey wineries is featured; tastings, culinary pairings, wine tutorials and live music from 1 - 6 p.m. Each ticket is $25 and entitles you to a wristband and a FREE wine glass, which you will pick up on the day of the event (proper ID required). There is also a non-drinker ticket priced at $10.

Glow Walk Run

Glow Walk Run Sanctioned 5k Distance: 3.1 miles starts approximately 5:30 pm, where participants will be treated to a beautiful, panoramic view of the New York City skyline during the final moments of daylight and through the evening hours. In addition to the walk/run, the event will also feature live music, glow in the dark games and activities, informational exhibits and more. All activities will be free to families who register. Annual Hometown Halloween Parade

All are invited to dress in their best costumes to join the Arts Council of Princeton for the Annual Hometown Halloween Parade. Join us at 5:15 pm on Palmer Square Green to enjoy the music of the Princeton University Marching Band before the parade will make its way through Downtown Princeton and end at the Princeton YMCA. The parade will leave Palmer Square Green promptly at 5:45 pm. The Fall Portfolio Tasting

The Winemakers Co-Op Fall Portfolio Tasting will feature 32 fine wines from some of New Jersey's top producers. Monroe Township Green Fair

This Green Fair is from 10 am - 3 pm. The township's Environmental Commission and Library work together on this event to educate the community of all ages about healthy and sustainable living as well as how to become responsible environmental stewards. The vendors will consist of health/wellness, healthy living, alternative energy, recycled products, organic pet products, and more. Local, County, and State government representatives educate the community on the environment, parks, and transportation. The Bookmobile, EnviroMobile, and Shredding truck will be available in the parking lot. Area hospitals/pharmacies provide flu shots and health screening. Halloween Parade, Trunk or Treat and Firework in Rahway!

This year the Halloween Parade will begin lining up at 4:30 pm at Hamilton Stage followed by the costume parade departing from Hamilton Stage at 5 pm toward RSI Bank. After the costume parade, at 5:30 pm Trunk or Treat will begin on Irving St. at the corner of Cherry St. and head toward Milton Ave. Participants are asked to bring their cars, decorate them in grand Halloween style and pop the trunk. As the parade arrives, children in costume will trunk-or-treat from car to car. Local businesses are welcome and encouraged to participate in this free, fun community event. Please call if you plan to bring a car or want a table to participate in Trunk or Treat. Following Trunk or Treat, Halloween activities will culminate with fireworks at 7 pm.
