It’s still early but the National Weather Service in New York has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Bergen, Essex, Union, Middlesex and Passaic counties for Wednesday and Thursday for the possibility of “heavy precipitation and strong winds.”

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, which covers the rest of New Jersey, has not issued any statements for next week.¬† Meteorologist Greg Heavener in the Mt. Holly office¬† cautions to the Star Ledger, “Precipitation levels are track-dependent. If it moves like it is now it could bring an inch or two across the DelMarVa region, but if it heads farther north it could be more like a blizzard [for New Jersey],” Heavener said.

Models are all over the road according to several meteorologists calling for anything from a major storm to a complete miss.

It is still “way too early” according to the New York NWS office to consider accumulations. Extended forecasts also indicate temperatures in the 40s for most of New Jersey during the coming week.
