Why the governor's race is a big load of s--t

The politicians really wear us out, Jim Gearhart reminds us.

"A politician's whole life his his career. Protecting his backside is his career," he says in the latest installment of the Jim Gearhart Show podcast, available here, on iTunes and Google Play.

Jim's talked many times about how good people get into government, "and all of a sudden, they become a tool, a creature of the party. And the party's only aim is to perpetuate itself — and to make money."

And that's perhaps why he hasn't spoken much about the ongoing governor's race for New Jersey. They'll promise to lower taxes? To increase educational funding? To improve our infrastructure? To clean up Trenton?

Jim and his friend Mr. Hanky know what they think of those promises.
