This week, I had the pleasure of interviewing one of the musical greats: Darlene Love, who'll be performing at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park Saturday night. She's the singer of the 1960s No. 1 hit "He's a Rebel" and one of the stars of "20 Feet from Stardom," about the careers of lifelong backup singers.

Her greatest Jersey memory is the first time she met Bruce Springsteen at the Stone Pony — and now the Boss and Elvis Costello have written songs for her upcoming album!

What an incredible night it was when this Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer called in to talk about the upcoming show. We talked about everything from the story behind "Rebel" to working with Phil Spector.

"I didn't know he wore a toupee. I used to make fun of his hair," she said.

On being inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall Fame by her friend Bette Midler: "They don't let you pick the person who inducts you but I was so happy they chose Bette because we're such good friends.

We even spoke about the Oscar-winning documentary ... and details that may have been left out. Check it out above.
