A longtime Atlantic City casino kitchen worker has claimed a $1 million prize he won in a late-November Mega Millions drawing.

The New Jersey Lottery announced Tuesday Ramon Rosario, 62, from Pleasantville in Atlantic County came t its headquarters to claim the ticket that matched the five white balls drawn.

According to the Lottery, Rosario is a regular patron of City $.99 Cents Market on 1410 Atlantic Ave. in Atlantic City, where  he purchased the winning ticket.

Rosario has a strategy: At the beginning of the month, he purchases five, quick
pick number sets on one ticket. Then, for each drawing that he wishes to play, he uses the same set of numbers generated by the initial quick picks, the Lottery said.

It paid off.

Rosario has worked in an Atlantic City kitchen for 16 years. He told the Lottery he plans to use his winnings to pay off student loans and retire early.

The winning numbers for the Friday, Nov.  27, 2015 Mega Millions drawing were: 16, 20, 39, 56 and 59. The Gold Mega Ball was 12, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.

If the ticket had been purchased with the Megaplier option it would have been worth $3,000,000.

Rosario was the second-prize winner.
