I had looked forward to the 121212 concert since it was announced about a month ago. The lineup got better by the day and the money raised for Sandy victims reached $30 million before the first act even took the stage. This event definitely lived up to the hype.

I enjoyed almost the entire concert. I watched it from start to finish because I didn't want to miss any surprises. Seeing Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi share a stage twice was definitely one of the highlights of the show. A very powerful "Jersey" moment.

I thought the two best performances were Billy Joel and The Who. The Who, the same band that made a mockery of themselves on the Super Bowl halftime show a few years ago rebounded in a big way. Billy Joel on the other hand never sounded better. He played the always-fitting-in-times-of-distress anthem, Miami 2017 to open his set.

The ending was my personal favorite moment. After Paul McCartney performed, he called up a number of first responders and Sandy victims to the stage. While rocking a Seaside Police hat, he brought out Alicia Keys to close out the show with the new anthem for New York City, Empire State of Mind.

Overall, I thought the concert was great. Who was your favorite act? Take our poll and share your thoughts in the comment section below.
