Among the many sweets that grace the Christmas table, desert would not be complete without homemade bowties.

Bowties look like Chinese noodles you’d ordinarily put in soup, only they’re dipped in honey.

While they look simple enough, they’re really a bitch to make.

Take it from me, my mom used to curse like a trooper whenever they’d fall apart. And they always did seem to fall apart.
