Here's our recap of everything that happened Saturday at the 2017 Polar Bear Plunge in Seaside Heights distilled down to just four minutes.

Thank you to the throngs of brave souls that came out to participate in the plunge, all the volunteers that made it possible, and the law enforcement efforts that helped make this the biggest plunge to date. It was another record breaking year for the 24th annual Polar Bear Plunge. Together we raised over $1.9M dollars for Special Olympics NJ.

The exact count came in at 6,884 registered plungers with over 41,000 total in attendance. It was a beautiful day, air temperatures were in the 60's with an ocean water temp. of 42 degrees. It was closer to just a regular day at the Jersey shore than a challenge of mind and body.
