While it is too early to tell how many New Jersey voters hit the polls today, voter turnout is light. In fact, polling locations throughout Ocean County are reporting about 10% of registered voters had cast their votes by early afternoon.

Voter traffic at District 40, while consistent has not been heavy according to poll workers there. One woman said, "It's New Jersey. We don't care unless it's a gubernatorial or presidential race."

The outcome is about the same in North Jersey where voter turnout if also reported light. One poll worker said, "The more people that do come, the busier we are. When nobody shows up, you get kind of bored and tired."

Meanwhile one voter said she came out to vote because she thinks it is important and a privilege.
