I don’t know how this makes anyone on campus feel safer, but the University of Minnesota, bowing to the pressure of activists, will no longer include the race of a suspect when issuing a campus crime alert. Apparently, it made black men feel as if they were under suspicion every time there was a crime. There’s no word on if they will no longer give the color of stolen cars on campus.

It would seem to me that the more information you give out on the suspect the better your odds of apprehending him/her are. Are men going to complain next that they are over-represented on these campus alerts and demand that the descriptions be gender neutral? I know people are thinking that this is political correctness gone too far, and this time, I agree with them.
