Today in New Jersey, two lawsuits were filed, one in Manchester and one in Woodbridge, that really makes you wonder just how terrible people could be. It seems as though there's a competition to see how low one can sink.

Lawsuit number one: Ellen Shane plans to sue Woodbridge Township after an off-duty police officer saved her from a stabbing inside the Woodbridge Center Mall.

According to NJ.com,

She sue the township for $5 million, claiming it failed to protect public safety and that she was injured as a result of the officer’s acts.

Lawsuit number two: Elizabeth Lloyd of Manchester is suing a little league player for overthrowing a baseball that hit her in the face.

According to our own Townsquare News Network,

Elizabeth Lloyd is seeking $153,000 to cover medical costs stemming from the incident at a Manchester Little League game two years ago.
