Truck accident, fire closes I-295

A fatal truck accident near the Route 73 overpass in Cherry Hill closed Interstate 295 in both directions on Sunday night but were completely reopened for the Monday morning commute.

6 ABC reports the box truck and a second vehicle hit on the northbound side around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday causing the truck to catch fire.The closure caused a multi-mile backup in both directions of I-295.

New Jersey State Police tweet that engineers was to inspect the overpass before it could be reopened.

Both roads were completely open in both directions shortly before 5 a.m. on Monday morning.
