Thunderstorms on the Way for Burlington, Mercer Counties

Severe thunderstorms are on the way for parts of Burlington, Mercer counties.

Radar indicates strong thunderstorms developing along a line starting 12 miles southeast of Trenton to 15 miles southeast of Camden according to a special weather alert issued by the National Weather Service.

The storms are expected to reach Yardville-Groveville around 2 p.m. today and White Horse and Florence shortly after.

Expect extremely heavy rains, large puddles on roadways. Wind gusts could reach 50 miles per hour and hail is possible.

The weather service warns of dangerous cloud-to-ground lightening.
