With Easter behind us, you might think you’ve seen the last of the semi-edible goo known as Peeps, but we’re not so lucky. The word from Deadline.com is that a producer named Adam Rifkin has optioned the TV and movie rights to Peeps.

How he could possibly make an entertaining out of such a reviled product, I don’t know, but it seems they’re going to try. There’s no script or anything yet, so we can’t be sure what the plot will be, but the article mentions something about Peeps dioramas. People are citing the success of The Lego Movie as an indication a Peeps movie could work, but people actually like Legos; I could see it if they were going to make a movie about Candy Corn or Pez.
