Twinkies

By Jeff Deminski Here's my ridiculous problem of the day. On last week's Friday night game, we gave out a bonus prize for a perfect score. Each winner who answered all three questions correctly was awarded a Twinkie in addition to their prize.

Hostess Brands says demand for Twinkies and CupCakes is at a record high since the snack cakes returned to shelves less than three days ago.

Twinkies don't last forever, but they'll have more staying power than most people remember when they return to shelves next week.

Now that I’m older and watching what I eat (as it enters my mouth), I think back to a time when we used to go to Aunt Fran’s for lunch. She’d make us “club sandwiches”, which were just ham and cheese cut up into 4’s; served with some Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup, and for dessert either Yankee Doodles or Devil Dogs...

The Twinkies are finally coming back! Although if you have the old ones from years ago, they’re probably still good.

A bankruptcy judge on Tuesday approved the sale of Twinkies to a pair of investment firms, one of which has said it hopes to have the cakes back on shelves by summer.

Hostess is moving ahead with plans to sell its Twinkies and other snack cakes to two investment firms after no other competitive offers were made.

We spent 2 hours last Tuesday night  lamenting the disappearing Hostess cakes.  A Marine called in saying he couldn’t wait to return home for a Devil Dog only to find that they are no where to be found.

Last week, Hostess Bakery announced that it was going out of business. According to CNBC, after new developments that took place minutes ago, it seems as though that may not be the case.

It's so sad when iconic products disappear.  It looks like the latest casualty could be Hostess, the makers of  Sno Balls, Twinkies, and whiter than white Wonder Bread.  For many of us, these products were a staple part of our childhood. Long before parents were concerned about
