September 12th, 1997 - Stig Anderson, manager, songwriter, and producer for Abba dies of a heart attack. Anderson co-wrote many of Abba's greatest hits such as 'Mamma Mia', 'Dancing Queen', 'Waterloo'.

December 15th, 1956 - A phrase is born when Elvis Presley gave his final performance on a live radio program in Louisiana. At the end of the show, the DJ uttered the now legendary phrase "Elvis has left the building."  Presley had made 50 appearances on that particular radio show throughout his career.

September 9th 1956 - Elvis Presley makes his first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show even though Sullivan had vowed never to allow Presley on the show.  He preformed three songs, 'Don't Be Cruel', 'Love Me Tender', and 'Ready Teddy'.
