When your car is covered in snow, and it’s freezing cold outside, clearing it off can be a pain, yes. But don’t be that guy.
It seems everyone here at NJ101.5 had an extra-long commute yesterday because of the snow. Dennis mentioned how it took him almost 5 hours to get home and Dena Blizzard (filling in for Judi) took almost 3 hours. It seemed as if the majority of drivers were looking at a minimum of 2.5 hours to get anywhere in the Garden State yesterday.
It's only the end of January, and Tuesday's snowfall made some New Jersey areas already reach their average seasonal totals. It wouldn't be wise to complain about the snow, though, because the state has had it much worse.
This is shaping up to be a bigger storm than they first thought. Certainly bigger than we'd all hoped. I'm writing this from the radio station and glad to finally be here.
Having just driven to work in the snow, I realize some people (not you, of course, but some people) need a reminder or two about driving in a snowstorm.
Citing the coming snowstorm Tuesday, Gov. Christie's 2014 Inaugural Committee has called off a planned gala on Ellis Island that was to have begun at 7 p.m.
All of the catered food ordered for the evening's event will be donated to local food pantries in the Jersey City area, the committee said...
