Imagine a database that lists every private surveillance system in your town, or in all of New Jersey. The move, to some, could be as seen as intrusive, but law enforcement officials claim it would help immensely in solving criminal cases.

Tired of all the news stories that only point out the negative stories in the world? Then there is a video out there that you need to watch.

There is a great show on CBS called “Person of Interest,” which is built around the premise of a “machine” built to catch terrorists that watches everyone and warns a couple of vigilantes when someone is about to get into trouble. The “machine” is a series of cameras that are everywhere and see everything. In New Jersey, we already have that machine, sans the vigilantes.

So far this year, we’ve had teachers yelling at an autistic student in Cherry Hill, An Elizabeth principal accused of choking a student, Governor Christie calling for education reform and a teacher tenure reform bill to try to weed out the bad educators among us.

We're still stinging from the red light camera implementation in NJ. Before we're even able to adjust to the frustration of having to live with the red light "scameras" we may have another set of cameras to worry about soon.
