Sixteen-year-old girl reported missing in South Brunswick area

A 16-year-old girl reported missing from a local hotel, where she was staying with her family, is the subject of a search by South Brunswick police.

An advisory posted by the department says Danielle Fedrich of New York City was reported missing from the Hampton Inn on Route 1 in South Brunswick by her mother early Saturday morning.

Danielle Fedrich is described by police as a 5-foot-2-inch, 138-lb. teenaged girl, with long blond hair.

South Brunswick police say they have been joined in the search by New Jersey State Police K-9 units and personnel from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's office.

Police are also expressing concern about the girl's mental health. They say she was last seen at the hotel dressed in black sweatpants, a gray coat and black boots and may also be carrying a gray duffel bag.
