Some Olympic-accredited visitors have been turned away from their accommodation over recent days because hotels were not yet ready.

Organizers say "within the three remaining hotels, the rooms are currently going through the final testing process and check of their services."

The Olympics open on Friday, with some preliminary competitions scheduled for Thursday. But many journalists arrive in advance of the games.

Organizers say the people that have been affected by the unfinished accommodation have been relocated to other rooms until their reserved hotels open, adding "at the end of the testing process guests will then be accommodated in the hotels they initially booked."
