Solutions For Pt Pleasant When The Alcohol Stops Flowing

When you hear of the success of Bamboozle in Asbury Park, it sort of makes you wonder why Pt Pleasant has so much trouble serving alcohol past midnight.

Lawrence Taylor’s Son Auctions off Super Bowl Ring

When I first heard that Lawrence Taylor was putting up his Super Bowl XXV ring for auction, I felt very sad. This once great linebacker who brought so much happiness to so many Giants fans has now fallen so low that he had to give up his Super Bowl ring.

Bamboozle – The Timing Couldn’t be Better

How lucky is Asbury Park that 3 days after Pt Pleasant voted to stop serving alcohol after midnight starting in July, Bamboozle comes in this weekend. “Bamboozle” in case you’ve been living a cave (or someplace where you thought stopping drinking after midnight was a good idea ;) is a 3 day festival of great music, great food and great partying in a place that has been trying to rebuild itself since Bruce was just a local hero.

Devils or Rangers – Where Do You Stand?

When the Rangers won the Stanley Cup in 1994 after 54 years, you would have thought the world had stopped.  I remember being at my girl friends apartment , watching the finals on ESPN and before the puck was dropped with little over a second left, going out to my car so that I could hear Marv Albert say the words I’d longed for since childhood. “The Rangers win the Stanley Cup” Who will ever forget the parade down the Canyon of Heroes?  The New Jersey Devils won the Stanley Cup and held their parade in the parking lot. One thing we need to consider in New Jersey is now that we’re having championship teams like Giants and possibly the Devils, Can we please get a decent parade route?

It’s 2 AM, Will Your Pt. Pleasant Bar Be Open?

If you’ve ever seen the movie “Bronx Tale” There’s a scene where a motorcycle gang crashes the local bar and after being asked nicely to leave several times, then the door is locked and “Sonny” played by Chaz Palminteri  uttered the line “now you can’t leave” a fight ensues and the bikers are eventually tossed out of their ear.

Where Would You Party if Not Point Pleasant?

Now that the bars have been ordered closed at midnight beginning July first in Pt Pleasant, where will the people who used to close Jenkinson’s and Martell’s go?

Attachment Parenting – Too Extreme? [POLL]

By now we’ve all seen the Time Magazine cover on attachment parenting with Jamie Lynne breastfeeding her three year old son. Personally I liked the Saturday Night Live bit  where they photo shopped the chair out from under the boy ;)  Now THAT’S funny!

NJ101.5 is Good for Your Heart

Radio-radio it’s good for your heart, the more you listen, the more you….. can do all kinds of things like exercise, sing happy songs, engage your brain in thought provoking ideas, keep up on current events and best of all, live longer, unlike say watching television. So says a 2011 study published in the Journal of the American College of  Cardiology
