The decision to have stores open or closed on Thanksgiving was met almost with a 50/50 split from the listeners, with callers voicing their opinions as to why or why not stores should open their doors on Thanksgiving.

Listeners that want stores to be open say that shoppers should have the option to do their shopping on Thanksgiving if they choose to do so and retail workers shouldn't be upset about having to work Thanksgiving.

Callers that were opposed to having stores open on Thanksgiving mainly said that Thanksgiving is one of the last few holidays for families to be together and both shoppers and retail workers should enjoy the holiday at home rather than working.
