Many Americans take advantage of the sales that take place on Black Friday, and get most of their holiday shopping done. Each year, the sales seem to be starting earlier and earlier.

Some stores are opening their doors to shoppers as early as 6 pm on Thanksgiving! This is unusual for people of older generations, who are used to shops being closed to observe the holiday.
