Purina Creates Energy Bars For Dogs

I have often said that if I had to do it all over again, I would make pet products, because there never seems to be a product pet owners won’t buy.

I was reminded of that when I saw this story about a new Purina product for dogs: an energy bar for dogs. I know there’s been this “Disney-fication” of animals over the past 40 years that led people to believe that pets are just humans in a different form, but is there really a segment of the population that thinks their dog is such a high-performer that they need an energy bar?

The Purina product (really two products, Purina Pro Plan Sport Prime and Re-fuel), is targeted at dogs that are active, running or performing agility drills. When Fido is cooling off after his run, he can enjoy his energy par with a nice cold one now as well.
