The group Preservation New Jersey Inc. is about to announce its 18th annual list of the 10 Most Endangered Historic Places in the Garden state.

The list spotlights irreplaceable historic, architectural, cultural and archeological resources in Jersey that are in imminent danger of lost.

Preservation New Jersey takes nominations from the public, then announces the Endangered Historic Places list in order to generate publicity and attract new perspectives and idea about how to protect sites that are in desperate need of creative solutions.

A press release from the group states “the involvement of an educated and informed public is critical for positive outcomes. Selections to the 10 Most Endangered Historic Places list are based on the likelihood that solutions can be found and historic buildings and places can be brought back to useful and productive life.
