Dennis and Michele (filling in for Judi today) were discussing an article from the Atlantic that looks at how the age for moving out of your parents house has been getting progressively older in recent years.

It used to be that after kids went off to college or after they got a full time gig, they moved out of their parents house. Now, with the economy being what it is, more kids are deciding to move back in after college or staying until their mid to late 20's before deciding to move out.

So Dennis and Michele wanted to know what was the proper age to move out of your parents house. Some parents who called in said that it was anywhere from 21-25 years of age, while other parents said it depends on the individual and their situation. Some of the younger callers gave a different perspective. Some of the younger callers said that they wanted to move out as soon as they could, while other subscribed to staying home as long as they possibly could.

What do you think is the proper age to leave your parents' house? Take the poll below.
