According to authorities, three juveniles were arrested on March 8 in connection with the incident. Police say that on March 7 at about 4:59 p.m., Egg Harbor police were called to Canale Park following reports that a female jogger was shot with an Airsoft gun. The victim, who suffered a minor injury, told officers that after the attack, she observed a maroon SUV leaving the area.

The following day a maroon Jeep Cherokee matching the description given to police by the victim, was seen by a resident near Canale Park. Police later stopped the vehicle. Following an investigation on the scene, police recovered Airsoft guns and marijuana.

Three male juveniles were subsequently placed under arrest, police said. They were charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. They were taken to the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.

Police say the following day, a fourth juvenile suspect was arrested in connection with the incident. On Wednesday, March 9, 2016 a fourth juvenile was arrested in relation to this incident and charged with the same offenses. He was being held in Harborfields as well.

"These juveniles were in effect terrorizing the public by their actions. The Egg Harbor Township Police Department believes there are numerous other victims," police said.

Authorities are asking anyone who thinks they were targeted by the suspects to contact the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 609-926-4051.
