Burlington County Prosecutor Robert Bernardi says a county grand jury returned the indictment against 77-year-old Fredricka Rosa on Tuesday. She remains free on $150,000 bail.

The Pemberton Township resident is charged in the death of 79-year-old Valpa Rosa Sr., whose body was found July 21 after police were called to the home by one of the couple's children.

Bernardi says Valpa Rosa was killed July 19. He was shot in the head and neck with a .357 magnum handgun, which Bernardi said was recovered at the residence.

The couple had been married for 54 years.
